The Saturday E Jazz Rotary Club conducted a purposeful visit to Mount Saint Mary’s Namagunga Secondary School, engaging 320 girls from the candidate classes of Senior 4 and Senior 6. The session aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, particularly the use of drugs and alcohol, which remain pressing issues among youth. The students were also sensitized on the importance of mental health and emotional well-being.
Through partnerships with mental health organizations Safe Places Uganda, the girls received practical tools and counseling support to help them navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and manage stress in healthy ways. The project was designed to empower students with knowledge and coping skills, ensuring they are not only academically prepared but also mentally equipped for the journey ahead.
