On 6th June 2025, Rotary history was made in Muyenga as seven dynamic clubs; RC Kampala Impala, RC Kira, RC Nsasa, RC Sonde, RC Kampala Morning Stars, RC Kampala Early Bird, and RC Saturday E-Jazz, came together for a spectacular joint presidential installation ceremony, officially launching the 7-by-7 collaboration under the Rotary year theme, “Unite for Good.”
The vibrant event saw seven past and current district governors each install a new club president in a symbolic gesture of unity and shared purpose. Past District Governor Edward Kakembo installed Daudi Mugabi of RC Saturday E-Jazz, as he took over from Shabella Agodo, setting the stage for a year focused on impactful service.
The evening was filled with energy, elegance, and Rotary spirit. District Governor Anne Nkutu and District Governor-Elect Geoffrey Kitakule praised the clubs for pioneering such a collaborative installation. They emphasized the strength of working together and encouraged more clubs in the district to consider joint efforts for greater reach and efficiency.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Fabian Kasi, Managing Director of Centenary Bank, applauded the spirit of collaboration and pledged $1,000 to each club, along with tree donations to support the clubs’ environmental goals. His contribution set a high tone for the year ahead and strengthened the partnership between Rotary and the private sector.
To kick off their three-year collaboration, the seven clubs have jointly adopted Bujjo Village in Mpigi District, where they plan to deliver a range of interventions in health, education, economic empowerment, and the environment—demonstrating the power of collective action to create lasting impact in underserved communities.
As the sun set and the music rose, the night reached its peak with a breathtaking performance by reggae legend Maddox Ssematimba, whose soulful rhythms had Rotarians on their feet. Laughter, music, and fellowship flowed freely as members celebrated not just new leadership, but a united vision for service.
For RC Saturday E-Jazz, the installation was more than ceremony; it was the official start of a bold journey to serve better, love louder, and grow stronger together.
